The Client

The BBC in conjunction with the United Nations.

The Objective

In the aftermath of the Bosnian war, the broadcasting service in Sarajevo was in a poor state – out of date equipment, demoralised and inadequate staffing from opposing sides and low quality output.

The BBC in conjunction with the United Nations sought to rectify the situation.

The Strategy

We were asked to be the advisor in designing the process of change and to facilitate some of the key meetings. Over a period of months and many visits, we sought to focus on a few priorities, mobilise opinion behind some key goals, focus effort on delivering improvements in some of the flagship programmes and engage all the parties.

The Result

By bringing the teams and opposing side together, communication was significantly improved. This allowed a greater sense of teamwork and creativity... achieving both the goals and objectives for the BBC and United Nations.
